KPRC Channel 2 Houston Offers a Window into CompuCycle's TV Tear Down
Mary Benton visited CompuCycle for Thursday's press conference and gave a glimpse into the break down of end-of-life TVs. Mary explains how "every year about 20 million TV sets in this country are disposed of, but only about 18% are even recycled. So the fear is that after the DTV conversion more TV sets like this one will be trashed."

KUHF Houston's Pat Hernandez Discusses TV Recycling on the Eve of the DTV Switch
Pat Hernandez provides insight into the issues surrounding e-waste and e-recycling with coverage from Thursday's press conference. CompuCycle's Clive Hess and local officials are interviewed. Texas Representative Carol Alvarado explains that the goal behind the legislation to require TV manufacturer take-back programs, HB 821, is "to remind people that I could be harming the environment if I don't dispose of this correctly, and TVs can be recycled so, that's the environmentally green friendly thing to do."
